It is all very well to copy what one sees but it is far better to draw what one now only sees in one's memory. That is a transformation in which imagination collaborates with memory.
Since I was a child death is definitely something that I think about every day. But I think that everybody does. You try and avoid it but it's such a big thing that you can't.
