Everywhere I go I'm asked if I think the universities stifle writers. My opinion is that they don't stifle enough of them. There's many a best seller that could have been prevented by a good teacher.
You have to imagine it possible before you can see something. You can have the evidence right in front of you but if you can't imagine something that has never existed before it's impossible.
