As the true object of education is not to render the pupil the mere copy of his preceptor it is rather to be rejoiced in than lamented that various reading should lead him into new trains of thinking.
It's human nature to be curious about people and to be more curious about young people than old people. We want to cheer something on at the same time we want to tear it down. That's just so normal.
