When I was in elementary school I used to write letters to myself. I'd write letters and go 'Dear Kristen-at-16-years-old happy birthday. I hope you're doing something.'
It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.
