Meet some people who care about poetry the way you do. You'll have that readership. Keep going until you know you're doing work that's worthy. And then see what happens. That's my advice.
No but I've always felt that with true talent and a commitment to hard work it is possible to achieve an enduring respect and appreciation. In other words I don't take my fans for granted.
