I had a very very difficult relationship with my mother who was supremely self-centred. She was hilariously self-centred. She did not really take interest in anything that didn't immediately affect her.
I have never yet seen any plan which has not been mended by the observations of those who were much inferior in understanding to the person who took the lead in the business.
