Dreaming is an act of pure imagination attesting in all men a creative power which if it were available in waking would make every man a Dante or Shakespeare.
Since fantasy isn't about technology the accelleration has no impact at all. But it's changed the lives of fantasy writers and editors. I get to live in England and work for a New York publisher!
