I know there are lots of positives in the evolution of technology but I also think it will be responsible for the end of a unique character of a specific kind of geographical culture. The world is getting so small and mass production is getting so big. Everything is in danger of becoming the same.
My workouts include aerobic exercise for a healthy cardiovascular system strength training to maintain muscle tone and bone density core strength exercise for a stable mid-section and stretching to maintain mobility.
Poetry seems to have been eliminated as a literary genre and installed instead as a kind of spiritual aerobic exercise - nobody need read it but anybody can do it.
I get up at sunrise. I'm a Buddhist so I chant in the morning. My wife and I sit and have coffee together but then it's list-making time. I have carpentry projects. We have roads we keep in repair. It's not back-breaking but it's certainly aerobic and mildly strenuous.
Now I say that if you run more than 15 miles a week it's for something other than aerobic fitness. Once you pass 15 miles you do not see much further improvement.
