But I liked Yeats! That wild Irishman. I really loved his love of language his flow. His chaotic ideas seemed to me just the right thing for a poet. Passion! He was always on the right side. He may be wrongheaded but his heart was always on the right side. He wrote beautiful poetry.

Maybe nature is fundamentally ugly chaotic and complicated. But if it's like that then I want out.

City people live the city. We live in L.A. New York we live in places where it's chaotic and you never know what's gonna happen. And that's the music - you never know what's gonna happen.

I think I'm a fun flatmate. I'm always cheerful. I go on tour with my band so it's 12 people on one bus and I feel like I'm the one who's happy in the morning. I'm not a chaotic person but I might slack off on doing the dishes from time to time.

But while mum and dad were incredibly caring it was also a very chaotic household where everyone fought about everything. So I know what it's like to internalize all that chaos.

The attitude that nature is chaotic and that the artist puts order into it is a very absurd point of view I think. All that we can hope for is to put some order into ourselves.

Chaotic people often have chaotic lives and I think they create that. But if you try and have an inner peace and a positive attitude I think you attract that.
