The absolute transformation of everything that we ever thought about music will take place within 10 years and nothing is going to be able to stop it. I see absolutely no point in pretending that it's not going to happen. I'm fully confident that copyright for instance will no longer exist in 10 years.
I don't feel the need to direct. I tried to get other people to direct Dances but they wouldn't do it. They all thought it was too long. One director wanted to cut the Civil War sequence. Another thought the white woman was very cliched.
If you have ever been in a real tragic or sad situation the words that come out are hopelessly inadequate and kind of cliched.
In terms of romantic films all-time romantic films I really like 'Gone With the Wind.' And I realize I sound so cliched saying that but there's something so absolutely romantic about it.
