Most people I know are not hard-core religious people. They are what I would call 'lightly religious.' So I don't buy the notion that we can't laugh about religion in America.
We are told to let our light shine and if it does we won't need to tell anybody it does. Lighthouses don't fire cannons to call attention to their shining- they just shine.
