What is all wisdom save a collection of platitudes?

Proverbs are always platitudes until you have personally experienced the truth of them.

It is becoming clear that the old platitudes can no longer be maintained and that if we wish to improve our morals we must first improve our knowledge.

The man who has the courage of his platitudes is always a successful man.
