I think there's something in the fact that it's hard to be good looking and funny. You have to have an oddball quality people have to sympathise with you to find you funny.
In a society that tries to standardize thinking individuality is not highly prized.
If my future were determined just by my performance on a standardized test I wouldn't be here. I guarantee you that.
