It's really frightening, American food on the whole. That's what always strikes me, coming from Europe: There's just so much of it! Then you plop down in front of the TV and watch ads for Weight Watchers. 'Lose weight now!' Well, eat less!

With the counseling of my family doctor my mother ended up turning to Weight Watchers and their children's program. I went to weekly meetings got counseling and would exercise with my peers who were my size. It was the first time I saw a proper children's portion size and it wasn't two burgers it was one.

I'm not a royal family watcher.

I've never had body issues I've never had an eating disorder. I've never had to go on a diet and that's because of Weight Watchers.

Weight Watchers is not intimidating. It's not a diet. It's a lifestyle.

I was always such a people-watcher. I would sit on street corners alone and watch people and make up stories about them in my head. Then all of a sudden I was the one being watched.
