The passionate controversies of one era are viewed as sterile preoccupations by another for knowledge alters what we seek as well as what we find.

To express the same idea in still another way I think that human knowledge is essentially active.

There is however another purpose to which academies contribute. When they consist of a limited number of persons eminent for their knowledge it becomes an object of ambition to be admitted on their list.

Knowledge is not simply another commodity. On the contrary. Knowledge is never used up. It increases by diffusion and grows by dispersion.

Science is the knowledge of consequences and dependence of one fact upon another.

Knowledge about life is one thing effective occupation of a place in life with its dynamic currents passing through your being is another.

You will not accept credit that is due to another or harbor jealousy of an explorer who is more fortunate.

The surest route to breeding jealousy is to compare. Since jealousy comes from feeling less than another comparisons only fan the fires.

Another factor is the decision made in 1976 to sharply divide the FBI and the foreign intelligence agencies. The FBI would collect within the United States the foreign intelligence agencies would collect overseas.

Dissents are appeals to the brooding spirit of the law to the intelligence of another day.

Mr. Speaker we are a blessed Nation. We have not suffered another attack on our soil since September 11 and we are grateful. We have killed or captured dozens of members of al Qaeda and the Taliban. Our military and intelligence forces are working both hard and smart.

The prompt assimilation of that intelligence will be essential if we are to avoid another September 11th.

But it is equally incontrovertible that if our intelligence gathering process is seriously flawed we had better find out and find out fast if we are to avoid another Sept. 11.

I think that animals aren't less intelligent than humans they're just of a different intelligence. We have five million smell-sensitive cells in our nose they have two hundred and fifty million - they can smell emotion. They can smell different types of emotion they just have another type of intelligence.

God is another name for human intelligence raised above all error and imperfection and extended to all possible truth.

Immaturity is the incapacity to use one's intelligence without the guidance of another.

The fact that I can plant a seed and it becomes a flower share a bit of knowledge and it becomes another's smile at someone and receive a smile in return are to me continual spiritual exercises.

Imagination is but another name for super intelligence.

Another side to me is this very sexual being. When I look back on my life it's always been there. It's been there since I was 10 years old having the imagination that I had.

I always won in my imagination. I always hit the game-winning shot or I hit the free throw. Or if I missed there was a lane violation and I was given another one.

To put yourself in another's place requires real imagination but by doing so each Girl Scout will be able to love among others happily.

To treat your facts with imagination is one thing to imagine your facts is another.

We are the miracle of force and matter making itself over into imagination and will. Incredible. The Life Force experimenting with forms. You for one. Me for another. The Universe has shouted itself alive. We are one of the shouts.

All my jobs have been with food in one way or another since 1948. My parents were in the hotel business and I just loved the warm hearted people who worked so hard with such good humor.
