I write about wounds the eternal treasons of life. It's not very funny but it's sincere. My commitment is to sincerity.

What's funny is that the idea of popularity - even the use of the word 'popular' - is something that had been mostly absent from my life since junior high. In fact the hallmark of life after junior high seemed to be the shedding of popularity as a central concern.

I think since I was kid people told me that they thought I was funny.

Sincere friendship towards God in all who believe him to be properly an intelligent willing being does most apparently directly and strongly incline to prayer and it no less disposes the heart strongly to desire to have our infinitely glorious.

How can sincerity be a condition of friendship? A taste for truth at any cost is a passion which spares nothing.

The rule of friendship means there should be mutual sympathy between them each supplying what the other lacks and trying to benefit the other always using friendly and sincere words.

Since there is nothing so well worth having as friends never lose a chance to make them.

The sincere friends of this world are as ship lights in the stormiest of nights.

A friend should be one in whose understanding and virtue we can equally confide and whose opinion we can value at once for its justness and its sincerity.

An insincere and evil friend is more to be feared than a wild beast a wild beast may wound your body but an evil friend will wound your mind.

Fulfill - you can far more than fulfill - the brightest anticipations of those who in the name of human freedom and in the face of threats that have ripened into terrible realities since fought that battle which placed you where you now stand.

Our soldiers have nobly fought to protect freedom since our country's birth and have fought to protect those that could not protect themselves even in foreign lands when called upon.

The U.S. has since the end of World War II had an answer - we stand for free peoples and free markets we are willing to support and defend them - we will sustain a balance of power that favors freedom.

I most sincerely wish that the world in which we live be free from the threat of a nuclear holocaust and from the ruinous arms race. It is my cherished desire that peace be not separated from freedom which is the right of every nation. This I desire and for this I pray.

In the literal sense there has been no relevant evolution since the trek from Africa. But there has been substantial progress towards higher standards of rights justice and freedom - along with all too many illustrations of how remote is the goal of a decent society.

Since I've been pregnant I've lost my taste for fast food. I used to be the biggest McDonald's junkie and now I don't like it anymore. I used to be the biggest fast-food connoisseur and now I've really lost my taste for it.

I always knew the importance of it since I was three or four years old my mother used to feed me wine and water. I grew up with wine as liquid food.

I guess I feel that I was following my instincts and at the same time being guided by the best. I became totally intrigued with Louisiana - the people the food. It is a part of my life. Everything that has happened for me since moving here has just been icing on the cake.

Well first of all we've got to get away from being offended by the truth. We've seen a 41 percent increase in food stamp recipients across the United States of America since President Obama was sworn in in January 2009. That has nothing to do with black white Hispanic or whatever. It's a fact and we need to you know deal with that.

Ever since Eve started it all by offering Adam the apple woman's punishment has been to supply a man with food then suffer the consequences when it disagrees with him.

Oh the tiger will love you. There is no sincerer love than the love of food.

I haven't eaten at a McDonald's since I became President.
