I say let's go back to a truer use of the word 'freedom.' Let's start with President Franklin Roosevelt's Four Freedoms: freedom of speech and expression freedom of worship freedom from want and freedom from fear. I would add the freedom to bargain collectively. Those freedoms are under attack today.

Here's the thing: the unit of reverence in Europe is the family which is why a child born today of unmarried parents in Sweden has a better chance of growing up in a house with both of his parents than a child born to a married couple in America. Here we revere the couple there they revere the family.

A rumor that followed me forever was that my family was in the mafia. For years I had to live with it. They'd call me the mafia princess so I rolled with it for the rest of high school. People even joke about it today.

Family income has fallen by $4 0 but health insurance premiums are higher food prices are higher utility bills are higher and gasoline prices have doubled. Today more Americans wake up in poverty than ever before.

It was the labor movement that helped secure so much of what we take for granted today. The 40-hour work week the minimum wage family leave health insurance Social Security Medicare retirement plans. The cornerstones of the middle-class security all bear the union label.

I believe that today's players who are Christians feel that it's important and their responsibility to acknowledge their faith.

I do not purpose to discuss faith in its dogmatic sense today.

Therefore the church is not absolutely necessary as an object of faith not even for us today for then Abraham and the other prophets would not have given assent to those things which were revealed to them from God without any intervening help of the church.

And so today if the state can no longer appeal to the old moral principles that belong to the Christian tradition it will be forced to create a new official faith and new moral principles which will be binding on its citizens.

Today we often think that before we start living a religious life we have first to accept the creedal doctrines and that before one can have any comprehension of the loyalty and trust of faith one must first force one's mind to accept a host of incomprehensible doctrines. But this is to put the cart before the horse.

Faith sir we are here today and gone tomorrow.

What unites Oklahomans today is what has always united us: Our unshakable faith. Our love of family and compassion for others. The unlimited promise of a hopeful future.

If you went to your closet today would you pull out the same outfit you wore 10 or 15 years ago? You wear feelings and faith differently as well.

All an actor has is their blind faith that they are who they say they are today in any scene.
