There are people in the public sector with a range of experiences that have no equivalent in business but are essential to governing like keeping a kid in school or helping someone get and hold a job. The value of those skills can't easily be measured against a bottom line.

Young people in the business have grown up and made the wrong decisions or bad decisions and haven't been good role models. To be someone that people look up to is important to me.

I'm someone who loves to enjoy life and tries to focus on real things and real friendships. That's why I live very simply. I'm a jeans and T-shirt kind of girl. I don't spend much time fixing myself up or trying to look cool. I live like a normal person and even though I'm in a very high-profile business I really don't let it affect the way I live.

No matter what business you're in you can't run in place or someone will pass you by. It doesn't matter how many games you've won.

In almost every profession - whether it's law or journalism finance or medicine or academia or running a small business - people rely on confidential communications to do their jobs. We count on the space of trust that confidentiality provides. When someone breaches that trust we are all worse off for it.

Do more than is required. What is the distance between someone who achieves their goals consistently and those who spend their lives and careers merely following? The extra mile.

Anybody can have a birthday. It requires nothing. Murderers have birthdays. It's the opposite of anything that I believe in. And I don't like at work where you stop everything to sing 'Happy Birthday' to someone. I feel like that's for children.

The main prank that we play with props is for people's birthdays. The special effects people will put a little explosive in the cake so it blows up in their face - that's always fun to play on a guest star or one of the trainees or someone who's new.

When someone asks if you'd like cake or pie why not say you want cake and pie?

I think the best thing for you to do is just live your life. Live a life that's worth living one where you do what you want to do pursue your passions. That way if you meet someone they'll be joining a life that's already really good.

As soon as someone tells me: 'You're rather sexy ' I wish I could disappear. If somebody says: 'You were voted the world's sexiest man ' I have no idea what that means. How do I respond? 'Thank you' is the best you can do. George Clooney is the world's sexiest man anyway.

If a man is dumb someone is going to get the best of him so why not you? If you don't you're as dumb as he is.

I would like to be remembered as someone who did the best she could with the talent she had.

Where I am today... I still have my ups and downs but I take it one day at a time and I just hope that I can be the best that I can possibly be not only for myself but also young people that are out there today that need someone to look up to.

Being a mother is the best thing that ever happened to me. Before you have your first baby you are a girl and then you become a mother. There is no transition into being a woman you literally become a mum and being a mum means you always love someone else more than yourself and it is an unexplainable situation.

I am someone who hopes for the best and prepares for the worst.

The beauty of having a producer is that you have someone who says You're finished.

A few years ago I lost 30 pounds and people still wanted to criticize. And honestly I'm happy with myself if I'm a little heavier. I realized: 'Why am I trying to conform to someone else's idea of beauty?' I think I'm beautiful either way.

My idea of beauty is somebody that doesn't have to try too much someone who is effortless and fresh.
