When you have fans who are hassling you the entire game and you ignore them they respect you because their job is to try and distract you. And if they don't distract you that means you're focused on doing your job. And who knows by the end sometimes you even win them over.

I have a certain pool of subject matter that I like to write about things that interest me: politics religion ecology and relationships between men and women. And that's usually what I focus on.

Religion is inwardly focused and driven only to sustain itself.

So I just had to step up how I was doing it and the moment that I stepped up and the moment I focused all my energy on that is when things started to happen. So there's a direct relationship between my inspiration and my output.

When I'm working I'm very purposeful and everything else gets out of focus. Something I've had to work on together with my wife is how to acknowledge each other in the midst of this and keep the relationship going.

No horse gets anywhere until he is harnessed. No stream or gas drives anything until it is confined. No Niagara is ever turned into light and power until it is tunneled. No life ever grows great until it is focused dedicated disciplined.

When every physical and mental resources is focused one's power to solve a problem multiplies tremendously.

Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.

Sometimes negative news does come out but it is often exaggerated and manipulated to spread scandal. Journalists sometimes risk becoming ill from coprophilia and thus fomenting coprophagia: which is a sin that taints all men and women that is the tendency to focus on the negative rather than the positive aspects.

I think it's almost an indulgence to focus on the dark side of things. And as you get older you want to focus on the positive.

I think every time I go in a game I have added something positive. I have gotten a rebound or made a defensive play. That is what I try to focus on.

Perhaps trying to move away from my problems and focus on the positive is the best I can do.

Everyone has things that they don't love about themselves but I think that as a woman its much healthier and more positive to focus on your good parts and the things you like about yourself not pick yourself apart.

So many reality shows are scripted and create this fake drama and it's a bunch of bull. We wanted to do something real and something wholesome and something that's focused on positive family values.

I just try to stay positive and focused on the tennis not let anything get to me like crazy questions. But I'm tough let me tell you tough as nails.

Live life to the fullest and focus on the positive.

The next thing I am doing is moving back home to Minnesota and getting involved in politics. I'm looking at a run for Senate in 2008 but in the meantime I am focused on knitting together the progressive network in the upper Midwest.

The tax issue is the most powerful issue in American politics going back to the Tea Party. People say 'Oh Grover Norquist has power.' No. Grover Norquist and Americans for Tax Reform focus on the tax issue. The tax issue is a powerful issue.

Thus the focus on this main political goal must become more visible in EU politics and to achieve this we need a political impulse. It must be clear what the priorities on the agenda are.

For too long we have focused on our differences - in our politics and backgrounds in our race and beliefs - rather than cherishing the unity and pride that binds us together.

As women have played an increasingly important role in politics there is no question that they've brought a different perspective focusing attention on a broader set of issues and building alliances with other women.

I think that politics could be a positive thing. My beef is that people focus on the personal aspect of a politician too much. They should focus on the results.

By focusing once and for all on helping the Palestinians build a free society I have no doubt that an historic compromise between Israelis and Palestinians can be reached and that peace can prevail.

It is by such means as the prize offered by your Committee that the attention of the world will be focused and that men and women will be inspired to greater efforts in the interest of peace.
