The promises of this world are for the most part vain phantoms and to confide in one's self and become something of worth and value is the best and safest course.

Beauty always promises but never gives anything.

Keep a good attitude and do the right thing even when it's hard. When you do that you are passing the test. And God promises you your marked moments are on their way.

What's important is promising something to the people not actually keeping those promises. The people have always lived on hope alone.

While the resurrection promises us a new and perfect life in the future God loves us too much to leave us alone to contend with the pain guilt and loneliness of our present life.
