I think I am really irreverent and I pretty much just talk to and about men the way men talk to and about women.

Men are going to go out on the road and they're going to find other women. So if you really want to save yourself a whole lot of heartache do not fall in love with somebody in a band. Just don't.

Then I read Little Women and of course like a lot of really young girls I was very taken with Jo - Jo being the writer and the misfit.

Men need to understand and women too what feminism is really about.

I don't really care what people tell children - when you believe in Santa Claus the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy one more fib won't hurt. But I am infuriated by the growing notion posited in some touchy-feely quarters that all women are or can be beautiful.

If you ask men why they did a good job they'll say 'I'm awesome. Obviously. Why are you even asking?' If you ask women why they did a good job what they'll say is someone helped them they got lucky they worked really hard.

A man who pretends to understand women is bad manners. For him to really to understand them is bad morals.

I've been out with some extremely beautiful women who have had no sex appeal whatsoever. It really is a lot more than skin deep.

And what I saw happening is that women don't make one decision to leave the workforce. They makes lots of little decisions really far in advance that kind of inevitably lead them there.

In their 30s women really start to live... they're not children anymore and they're not just mothers.

When I meet large women who walk with confidence and are articulate and really have an understanding of how they walk in this world I love them so deeply for being able to overcome such unbelievable odds.

I noticed in the past a lot of guys who like strong women they really freak out if you're not strong 24/7. Or they complain about you being strong then the moment you're not strong they're like 'Oh no no no.'

I have said this many times that there seems to be enough room in the world for mediocre men but not for mediocre women and we really have to work very very hard.

I think women are really good at making friends and not good at networking. Men are good at networking and not necessarily making friends. That's a gross generalization but I think it holds in many ways.

A Code of Honor: Never approach a friend's girlfriend or wife with mischief as your goal. There are just too many women in the world to justify that sort of dishonorable behavior. Unless she's really attractive.

So many women just don't know how great they really are. They come to us all vogue outside and vague on the inside.

I can't understand why the front pages of newspapers can cover bird flu and swine flu and everybody is up in arms about that and we still haven't really woken up to the fact that so many women in sub-Saharan Africa - 60 percent of people in - infected with HIV are women.

I think women are concerned too much with their clothes. Men don't really care that much about women's clothes. If they like a girl chances are they'll like her clothes.

I don't get this whole super-skinny obsession. I really think women look more beautiful when they let their curves show.

Comedy can be especially in a writer's room really aggressive kind of a very male-dominated room and it would be hard for women. It's not a nurturing place. It's not like a lot of women are going to say I can't wait to live that lifestyle and be in a writer's room until 2 or 3 a.m.

I'm for women choosing whatever they want to do but they have to really know what they are doing.

I find very often that very ugly women have really handsome men and vice versa because they don't have any competition. Sometimes handsome men have avoided me.

I just like to have words that describe things correctly. Now to me 'black feminist' does not do that. I need a word that is organic that really comes out of the culture that really expresses the spirit that we see in black women. And it's just... womanish.

Really every woman is an example to me because as women we go through so much pain. We have to live this perfect life when we are messed up inside. We all go through trials and tribulations.
