I've been speaking at churches for years as well as juvenile jails rehabs and hospitals and I always talk about my faith. That is a declaration of my relationship with God.

Faith is an act of rational choice which determines us to act as if certain things were true and in the confident expectation that they will prove to be true.

For the record I believe elected officials should talk about faith. Our founders believed the moral principles of faith were indispensable to our nation's survival. The Declaration of Independence mentions God four times.

What is faith? If you believe something because you have evidence for it or rational argument that is not faith. So faith seems to be believing something despite the absence of evidence or rational argument for it.

Moderation is part of faith so those who accuse Muslim schools of fostering fanaticism should learn a bit more about Islam.

I think there ought to be a strict separation or wall built between our religious faith and our practice of political authority in office. I don't think the President of the United States should extoll Christianity if he happens to be a Christian at the expense of Judaism Islam or other faiths.

The separation of church and state is a source of strength but the conscience of our nation does not call for separation between men of state and faith in the Supreme Being.

We can never learn too much of His will towards us too much of His messages and His advice. The Bible is His word and its study gives at once the foundation for our faith and an inspiration to battle onward in the fight against the tempter.

This President takes his inspiration from the capitals of Europe we look to the cities and small towns of America. This President puts his faith in government. We put our faith in the American people.

The meme for blind faith secures its own perpetuation by the simple unconscious expedient of discouraging rational inquiry.

Faith is the highest passion in a human being. Many in every generation may not come that far but none comes further.

Faith is love taking the form of aspiration.

To insure the adoration of a theorem for any length of time faith is not enough a police force is needed as well.

It has always felt like a failure that Bjorn and I couldn't keep our family together. You never get it back but to this day I don't regret splitting up. The reason behind our separation is one of those things I definitely don't want to go into!

It is hard as an American to support the failure of American military operations in Iraq. Such failure will bring with it the death and wounding of many American service members and many more Iraqis.

As efforts to fix this failure at the Veterans Administration continue I also intend to persist in demanding answers and action on the establishment of a new clinic to serve the veterans in North Central Washington.

Some people will go to the opening of an envelope. They live their lives in the public eye and get off on it they need it. They need that kind of adoration. If their name isn't in the tabloids once a week they feel like a failure.
