I firmly believe that all human beings have access to extraordinary energies and powers. Judging from accounts of mystical experience heightened creativity or exceptional performance by athletes and artists we harbor a greater life than we know.

But human experience is usually paradoxical that means incongruous with the phrases of current talk or even current philosophy.

In order to experience everyday spirituality we need to remember that we are spiritual beings spending some time in a human body.

You are not a human being in search of a spiritual experience. You are a spiritual being immersed in a human experience.

If merely 'feeling good' could decide drunkenness would be the supremely valid human experience.

Ages of experience have taught humanity that the commitment of a husband and wife to love and to serve one another promotes the welfare of children and the stability of society.

I have found little that is 'good' about human beings on the whole. In my experience most of them are trash no matter whether they publicly subscribe to this or that ethical doctrine or to none at all. That is something that you cannot say aloud or perhaps even think.

Once we believe in ourselves we can risk curiosity wonder spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the human spirit.

The marvelous richness of human experience would lose something of rewarding joy if there were no limitations to overcome. The hilltop hour would not be half so wonderful if there were no dark valleys to traverse.

Beliefs have the power to create and the power to destroy. Human beings have the awesome ability to take any experience of their lives and create a meaning that disempowers them or one that can literally save their lives.

I made decisions that I regret and I took them as learning experiences... I'm human not perfect like anybody else.

Human beings who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.

Humanistic values of equality and equal rights for all nations and individuals as crystallized in the principles of the United Nations Charter are mankind's great achievements in the 20th century.

The right to a quality education is I believe the perfect path to bridge the gap between different cultures and to reconcile various civilizations. Without such a right the values of liberty justice and equality will have no meaning. Ignorance is by far the biggest danger and threat to humankind.

A formally recognized equality does however accord the smaller nations a position which they should be able to use increasingly in the interest of humanity as a whole and in the service of the ideal.

'Vote Love' means vote equality. It means vote change. It means vote what's right for humanity.

In a state therefore of great equality and virtue where pure and simple manners prevailed the increase of the human species would evidently be much greater than any increase that has been hitherto known.

Civilization is built on a number of ultimate principles... respect for human life the punishment of crimes against property and persons the equality of all good citizens before the law... or in a word justice.

Republican patience with how unionism deals with the political institutions and with key issues like equality and human rights will be tested because obviously there will be a battle a day on these matters. So lets face up to all of this with our eyes wide open.

Racism oppresses its victims but also binds the oppressors who sear their consciences with more and more lies until they become prisoners of those lies. They cannot face the truth of human equality because it reveals the horror of the injustices they commit.

I am a universalist passionately devoted to the cause of equality within the human family.

So what we're talking about here is human rights. The right to live like a human. The right to live period. And what we're facing in Africa is an unprecedented threat to human dignity and equality.

Equality is the public recognition effectively expressed in institutions and manners of the principle that an equal degree of attention is due to the needs of all human beings.
