Probably nothing serious or worthwhile can be accomplished without one's willingness to be alone for sustained periods of time which is not to say that one must live alone obsessively.

Time in general has always been a central obsession of mine - what it does to people how it can constitute a plot all on its own. So naturally I am interested in old age.

I was always obsessed with being famous. I had Marilyn Monroe paper dolls as a child and I was always obsessed with her. I've just been really driven in that direction and none of my friends were. So I don't know what put that bug in me at a young age.
