I started playing ukulele first for 2 years from age 9 to 11 and got my first guitar and got inspired by blues I heard on the radio that turned me on and I started learning myself.

I used to be so aggressive but after a while I started learning. It's not that I know how to adapt but I know all styles of fighting so I can change my style of fighting to whatever it needs to be. That just comes from years of training and a lot of sparring partners.

From the time I started school it was clear to everyone that I wasn't learning at the same pace as other kids.

We started this band as kids and as time has gone on we've grown and are learning to accommodate each others' differences.

I started practicing yoga. I started learning some hands-on healing stuff. And I found really good chiropractors really good massage therapists and what I found is I've been able to actually peel off layers of trauma on my body and actually move better now than I did.

Some of the companies we helped start are names you know. An office supply company called Staples - where I'm pleased to see the Obama campaign has been shopping The Sports Authority which became a favorite of my sons. We started an early childhood learning center called Bright Horizons that First Lady Michelle Obama rightly praised.

The business manager was doing fine back in his office while they were out on the line hungry. And so they started to see a lot of that and there was that maybe the leadership had its own cause. More so than the miners you know it was like a power struggle.

It takes leadership to improve safety. And I started off the movement in my time but the person who has done more over the past 20 to 30 years and who has led it is Professor Sid Watkins.

He's a novice but he's had these - he's experienced in leadership in tight circumstances. He started - he dropped the first bomb led the first air strike into North Vietnam.

I noticed a lot of guitar players neglected the rhythm part of rhythm guitar and decided I would try to focus in that. As my skill and knowledge of the instrument grew I found lead started to come naturally. Sometimes I play guitar like a frustrated drummer. Ha ha!

To my knowledge I was the first guy really to do what I do. And then later on different comedians started trying doing it.

I've gotten to go wonderful places meet interesting and intelligent people and I started of course in the theatre and continue to work in the theatre where there is some intelligence involved in it.

But in my imagination this whole thing developed and I started mixing up old folk songs with the Beatles beat and taking them down to Greenwich Village and playing them for the people there.

Fairy tales opened up a door into my imagination - they don't conform to the reality that's around you as a child. I started reading when I was three and read everything but I wanted to be an actress.

I think up until the point when we started in the business which was in the early '70s most of the humor was political. The smart humor was political satire.

There are certain things I learned when I first started learning about acting to try and place the character physically and emotionally. And the way you place them emotionally is often with humor.

Even if the hopes you started out with are dashed hope has to be maintained.

I had a huge advantage when I started 50 years ago - my job was secure. I didn't have to promote myself. These days there's far more pressure to make a mark so the temptation is to make adventure television or personality shows. I hope the more didactic approach won't be lost.

The capacity for hope is the most significant fact of life. It provides human beings with a sense of destination and the energy to get started.

People always ask me if I'm going to stop modeling because I have started an acting career. I hope to continue to model for years to come.

I only hope that we don't lose sight of one thing - that it was all started by a mouse.

When we started the show 'Dallas' was known as the city where JFK was assassinated. By the end it was known as JR's home town.
