I carry my own film guys with me now. People think that's a huge expense but with technology like it is these days it's not. You can film videos and everything with a Canon Mark II and shoot a movie. They're doing it for next to nothing by comparison. I can do ten videos for a project for the price of one mainstream video in the past.

These days there's so much technology and ways you can learn. There are videos and CD roms.

So many times these kids know more about the technology than their parents. And so many times we're putting kids in very adult situations and expecting them to behave like they're 40 years old. Well that's just not going to happen.

We're in a time now where technology is such that we can create anything and that's what's new about television and film these days.

As part of our layered approach we have expedited the deployment of new Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) units to help detect concealed metallic and non-metallic threats on passengers. These machines are now in use at airports nationwide and the vast majority of travelers say they prefer this technology to alternative screening measures.

These days the technology can solve our problems and then some. Solutions may not only erase physical or mental deficits but leave patients better off than "able-bodied" folks. The person who has a disability today may have a superability tomorrow.

I suppose that every time there is difficulty. I remember about Space Mountain: It took us ten years before we found the technology that would allow such a ride. And during these ten years I had a model that I kept waiting for the technology we needed.

Well clearly Apple is a role model of the American innovation whereby it produced all these products - iPod iPhone iPad - that are really now dominating all the technology arena in the world.

In making certain things easier for people technology has actually demotivated people from using their brains. We have all these devices that keep us connected and yet we're more disconnected than ever before. Why is that?

Well first of all we now have everybody with the exception of India Pakistan and Israel and I don't think these three countries are going to join by simply providing them an incentive in terms of technology.

What the public needs to understand is that these new technologies especially in recombinant DNA technology allow scientists to bypass biological boundaries altogether.

Advertisers are not thinking radically enough - they look for technology to lead instead of trying the neuroscience approach and thinking about what parts of the brain haven't been activated before. These new experiences bring new capabilities to the brain.

It's hard to pay attention these days because of multiple affects of the information technology nowadays. You tend to develop a faster speedier mind but I don't think it's necessarily broader or smarter.

You know I thought we could use a good myth about technology to help guide us through these particular modern waters right now.

I'm sorry it's true. Having children really changes your view on these things. We're born we live for a brief instant and we die. It's been happening for a long time. Technology is not changing it much - if at all.

In the depth of the near depression that he faced when he came in Barack Obama and Democratic leaders in Congress provided 'recovery funds' that literally kept our classrooms open. Two years ago these funds saved nearly 20 000 teacher and education jobs - just here in North Carolina.

I'd never been a teacher before and here I was starting my first day with these eager students. There was a shortage of teachers and they had been without a math teacher for six months. They were so excited to learn math.

As a teacher you can see the difference in kids who have parents who were involved. That difference by the time these kids get to the third grade is drastic.

I thought well of course Kinsey absolutely adored teaching. He was a wonderful teacher. So these kids really inspired me. So that was a clue I hung onto. He loved young people he absolutely loved them. And he loved teaching them and trying to help them.

But what you could perhaps do with in these days is a word of most sincere sympathy. Your movement is carried internally by so strong a truth and necessity that victory in one form or another cannot elude you for long.

I have sympathy for young people for their growing pains but I balk when these growing pains are pushed into the foreground when you make these young people the only vehicles of life's wisdom.

I was successful materially but I know life is much more than worldly success. I saw all these blessings God had given me. The way to give thanks is obedience to God.

All these people who say success changes people well no it just magnifies what's there.

I'd rather a young black actor read about success as opposed to how tough it was. I get these roles because I can act and that's it. Hopefully that's it.
